Ugly Christmas sweaters get a meme.
We love Internet memes almost as much as ugly Christmas sweaters, so we were thrilled to learn that Memestache.com tackled our favorite trend with the adorable Socially Awesome Penguin. Thanks to blogger Eliscia for posting it. She wrote:
I love this time of year because everyone pulls out their parents’ or grandparents’ old sweaters and throws them on. It’s been a happening for so long, it has actually become trendy. I guess I have a Socially Awesome Penguin somewhere to thank for the trend!
This year while I’m wearing my grandma’s sweater, and drinking some eggnog, I’ll think of that trend setter and thank him for starting one of my favorite holiday traditions.
