December 12 is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Hooray! (As if we needed another excuse to break out our beloved knits.)
Still, there’s even more good news. This year, the friendly folks behind the day have teamed up with the charity Save the Children for the “Make the World Better With a Sweater” campaign.
Text Sweater to 20222 to donate $10 to support Save the Children’s work with the disadvantaged around the world. Then take a picture of yourself rocking an epic ugly Christmas sweater and use the hashtag #Elfie to spread the love and encourage donations.
Throw an ugly Christmas sweater party and encourage everyone attending to donate, too. If you can’t manage $10, you can also donate $5 online.
